Provident claims

Hi has anyone tried to claim against provident for inappropriate lending. I'm trying to claim back and having a nightmare with them, and wanted to see if anyone here has had any luck with them

    Every case is unique.

If you have a valid complaint, you're likely to be successful.
  • Hi

I have an ongoing complaint with Provident and have just sent through to the FOS as they haven't yet made any kind of offer after 9 weeks!  I have asked for a full list of all my loans but to date haven't received anything.  I have read a number of reviews on different sites which confirm that its not always an easy process.  How far have you got with them so far?

They've had 56 days and said they need more time, so I've gone to the ombudsman. I've only just got my list of loans from them, and that's only because I rang them up 3 times and asked them to send it

I also had a letter today from Provident. I remember getting a £1000 loan from Greenwoods around 2008.

Hi All, need some advice please.
I have tried claiming back from both amigo and provident.
Amigo are going to court to try and get a repayment scheme set up so they only have to pay a fraction of the claims.
I also have been trying to claim from provident, and it would seem that they have been waiting to see what was happening with the Amigo case. I say this because like many other people I have been given excuse after excuse as a delay tactic only to receive a letter on Saturday stating that they too are now looking at applying for a scheme through the courts.
my question is, as I opened my claim against them and it went over the 8 weeks, then I complained to ombudsman but went over another 8 weeks, have I a case that this should have been dealt with prior to their application for such a scheme and a failure to comply with their obligations?

According to their letter and other info, the claim only goes back too 2007. I took loans from Provident as far back as 1997-2000. I'm wondering if I still have an opportunity to still make a claim.

What have you got to lose.
Stick a claim in and see what happens.
