Hi guys, I have to bring my son to UK before December 2020 as he will turn 18. Just wondering if anyone has any idea. I’m worried I have a pretty much every month transaction into gambling site. And I have zero balance on my bank as we speak now. Just wondering does this affect on my son’s application? Any experience or idea would help me a lot. Thank you

SO MUCH information is missing here!
I think you need help with your gambling, especially as you have a monthly transaction into a gambling site and have a zero bank balance. Try the NHS for a start, here is a link : https://www.nhs.uk/live-well/healthy-body/gambling-addiction/

When your son does turn 18 in December he will be an adult and not dependent on you - and nobody will expect you to support him because he is an adult. But it would be a great shame if he came to visit or live with you and you had nothing, so you couldn't feed him or give him a bed and somewhere to stay.

Before your son comes, you need to either tell him about your gambling and that you won't be able to put him up when he arrives OR try to get your gambling in check - which I know is much easier said than done.

The very best thing you can do for your son is to be honest and tell him that you have problems and don't know if there's much point in him actually coming to the UK, as you have nothing.

    Please get help.
