Didn't change the address - driving license

Hello there. I moved 11 months ago and finally want to change my address on driving license using D1 form but I have one more address that I didn't register with DVLA last year. My question is do I need to mention my previous address ( it doesn't match the address on driving license or shall I just jump from the one I have on the license to the current one? As I sign a declaration, wouldn't it be a problem causing me a fine that I skipped the address and didn't change the licence? And what if I mention it and they don't have a record, can I still be fined?

I really don't know what you are asking, you want to update your license details to the current address , so get on with it.

The DVLA want an address where they can contact you. They don't care where you live, let alone where you lived a week ago.
  • It does say ”if your address has changed from that shown in your last licence you must give the previous details details below”. That was the reason I was asking if I need to mention my previous details which they don't have. But I see what you mean, thank you very much for your replies. I will just mention my address on the licence as my previous details and the new one.

Don't forget to change the address on the V5C for any car for which you are the registered keeper.  There is no connection between driving licence records and car registration records at DVLA.
  • Thank you. I don’t have any car at the moment, so wouldn’t have problems regarding this.

Be prepared for a lengthy delay.  There is a huge backlog.
  • It’s ok. I just don’t want to face any fines that I didn’t change my licence last year.
