Hive heating

We have moved into a house where they have Hive heating . The receiver is on the wall by the boiler and flashes amber when the boiler is on . The thermostat just says contact customer service . So I have tried to reset it by taking the batteries out and then putting back in. It searches then says call customer service .
Any ideas as without this you can't turn the bloody heating up etc. Not as though we need it but when it gets cold it would be nice .

Are you renting or have you bought the property? If you have bought the property then I believe you have to buy a new Hive hub to be able to use the system. As suggested above you may want to contact them if this is the case.1
