Full time to casual contract, redundancy

I currently have a casual contract having previously worked with the same company in full time positions and have a 12yr+ continuity of service with no break between contracts.

I have read that in these circumstances employment rights are carried over. Does this include statutory redundancy rights?

The company are looking at making full time staff redundant but keeping casuals on the books without prospect of work.

Which they would be entitled to do.

I understand that but it does not answer my initial question.

Which was that if you go from a permanent contract to a casual one without a break, do your employment rights carry over?

However things have changed as I have since discovered that the contract I signed when going casual was a full time contract, so I am hopeful that this may stand in my favour.

Casual and full time have totally different inferences which aren't compatible at face value. Casual infers ad-hoc hours i.e. as required.
