Last minute cancellation confusion

I don’t know if anyone has any experience of this... we’ve booked four nights in a uk hotel, booked through last minute.com. Credit card details given, but not paid for yet. We want to cancel after night two and go to another hotel for various reasons (reasons for which I would try and argue about getting the cancellation charge back). However would they charge us for the other two nights!? We will just put up with this hotel if that’s the case... The t’s and c’s aren’t clear apart from saying there would be a cancellation fee. I would assume that’s all we have to pay- but does anyone know for sure? Thank you!
