Could somebody possibly please help me on a couple of redundancy questions I have please?

Hi all,
Ive just had my redundancy notice letter, and just wanted to double check a couple of things if possible please.
1. It says I am required to take any unused holiday entitlement during my 7 weeks notice period, I have 17 days left, do I have to book these on the holiday request system as if I was just booking holiday normally? They've already forced me to take 5 days holiday during furlough but they did that themselves.
2. Is notice period paid at normal rate, not furlough rate, even though I am on furlough for my 7 weeks notice? I understand the redundancy payment is now based on normal rate by law, but what about the notice period?
3. Can I accept a new job elsewhere before the notice period ends without any financial penalty from my redundancy? Would I need to tell my current company if I do?
Thanks for reading any possible help!

1. yes, i would think booking your holidays as normal. why wouldn't you?
2. i don't know about furlough. maybe call ACAS and ask. someone had mentioned ACAS in another thread. i have never had any experience of them so i can't comment, but their website seems to indicate they may be able to answer questions.
3. you can't get another job until your employment has ended, unless you get agreeement from your employer. if they have offered you redundancy pay then it is best wait until your employment date has ended before taking another job as otherwsise it may affect your redundancy pay.1 -
What is your statutory notice and your contractual notice.
(how long have you need there)
This is important for your notice pay.
Read up on counter notice. you can give to notice to your employer you are leaving early and still get the redundancy payments.
They can withdraw the redundancy right up to the last day, counter notice preempts that, although not certain most of the time it gets accepted.1 -

1. I didnt know if HR would do it as they did with the week earlier on in furlough. I have emailed them to enquire.
2. Ive had it confirmed my notice period is at normal rate so thats good news.
3. Ok thanks! It looks like id be lucky to find a job this soon anyway lol.
Thanks again0 -

when i was made redundant, i found a job before my employment end date so i had to ask the new employer to wait until that had passed before i start my new job.0
