Dominican Republic - Jan / Feb - Avg costs ?

Hi all,

Random one this, but here goes...
Looking at BA (dreaded Boeing 777 plane with 3-4-3 config and seats/space big enough for a 5yr old) holidays, along with TUI (Boeing 787 , sardine can with not many toilets, but more space than the BA plane...)..

So on a few dates end of Jan into Feb, for arguments sake, it appears i can get a 1wk stay All Inc in a 5* hotel, for say an average £1000pp  if i book today/yesterday/tomorrow, etc ......
This is with both operators...
If i look at Jan for TUI, prices are slightly cheaper by a few pounds, where as more expensive with BA, but look into March, they are cheaper with BA, compared with TUI going more expensive in March...

But, if i look at both operators, say in Oct, Nov and into December, the cost could become like an average of say £850, which is great!

For those who goto the Dom Rep regular (and are abreast of pricing), is it worth hanging on a month or 2 to book with either operator ?  We dont have a set place, or date, just anytime end of Jan or any in Feb, for 1 week, in a 5* , and me being tight, ideally, i want to cap the price at being £1100 to inc PE seats, or say £1k to include extra legroom seats.....
For those that price watch, u might recall each year seeing operators do holiday sales, etc :)

Jan-Mar is always more expensive in the Caribbean as it is High Season for visitors from eg Canada/USA and also its a new holiday year for days off - I personally love the Dreamliner and would be swayed by a package with TUI as they have been better than BA over the Coronavirus amends/cancels

yeah, am gonna book with TUI, as last time i flew to Vegas with BA on the 777 in 2018 , i can honestly say that was the worst seat ever, ever ever, as in ever!! on any plane!  made budget carriers look like 5* !!!
Gonna go extra legroom with Tui on the 787...
I was just trying to figure out as pricing goes, am i at the low price point now for hols in Jan/Feb (like were in a sale kinda thing)......
As much as its the unknown with covid and so on, life goes on, gotta carry on to keep business in business! (with good pricing ! :D:D  )
