Harveys furniture needs repair

Ordered to settees in august 2018,they turned up nov 28. one settee never worked correctly it was finally exchanged nearly a year later. second settee stitching came apart on one of th seats.. Harveys sent their repair team round in december 2019 (after guarantee date but was reported well in time so they honoured it). Servico did a temp repair to seat cover but said they would need to order nnew cover ,it woulld take 12 weeks. We are now in august servico telephone number seems non existent. still have 2 year left to pay on suite (interest free option). Am i now left with a unusable settee or has servico just changed names. I take it I cannot get any redress from the credit company?

    Why not?

Have you read MSE's Section 75 article?
  • The credit is via interest free credit so not a credit card.

The info shown in that link is a bit misleading as it does state:

Free protection for credit card spending for items over £100

but finance (even interest free) is still covered providing that the credit was specifically set up for the purchase of the furniture and the credit provider isn't the retailer then S75 still applies.

As George_Michael says, other credit is covered too.

I thought that article covered it quite well where it says:

Note the last sentence in there where it says:
Whether it's a flight, kitchen, computer or anything else, pay on a credit card, store card or with store instalment credit, and the credit provider's responsible too.
