Microsoft Services Agreement email

Have received an email telling me MSA has an update.
True or false?
Genuine or scam?

Any info? Address looks like it might be genuine , from MSA @ communication.microsoft.com (my spaces).
Nothing odd looking when viewing source of email.

Was it to your Hotmail/Outlook/Live email address? I vaguely recall getting such an email a few weeks ago.

Assuming you have a product that is covered by the MSA (Hotmail/Outlook/Xbox/etc), there's an update effective 01Oct2020 so it's probably genuine - but just to be safe don't click any suspicious links or visit any sites to "verify" that you agree to the new terms. Usually they just assume that if you keep your account open that you accept the new terms; it's only when you don't want to accept them that you need to actually do anything.
