I had a one night stay booked at Holiday Inn Newbury Park which couldn't be fulfilled due to Coronavirus as the hotel was shut.
Do I have to accept the credit note out can I request a refund?

Thanks. At the moment they are insisting on credit note only and I need to contact my insurers. To be honest 1 night in a hotel down the road I don't normally have insurance.0

You can request a refund but if you booked a non refundable room for one night and they are offering a credit note, you might be better settling for that as you will probably have a fight on your hands. If you are up for it then go for it.0

Ultimately it was a non refundable room. I didn't cancel it, but the girl was shut so they couldn't fulfill their obligation.
The concert I was going to had been put back by 1 year but the girl doesn't have the availability that I need. I'm waiting to see if I can use the voucher at another Holiday Inn.0
