Morning all
Dull and overcast here with more rain due later, I am fed up with it now and was the sun back please !! It rained all day yesterday so we had a lazy day at home, dd and I took her pup up to the park for a very wet run around and OH took our pup later on, just when we were sitting down to eat the sun came out and it was lovely for a few hours so we could have bbq'd !!
Onto today dd has a click and collect from Mr T to pick up just things we cant get in aldi and we need to take the puppers for a walk, a bit of housework thrown in and a cycle if the rain holds off and that will be the day done.
DD has the second viewing on her house today so fingers crossed they like it.
Either meatballs with spaghetti or salmon new potatoes and salad for dinner both nice so will decide later.
Gers sorry to hear of your relative xx
Have good days all xx12 -
Morning all and thanks for starting nmlc,Gers sorry to hear about your relative.Nothing much on for me today, though I might drag the carpet cleaner out as next door have gone away & it is quite noisy. Yesterday was spent at DS house trying to get it dust free & emptying a lot of the tools/materials back into the van, it's being valued today as his mortgage fix is coming to an end. All the big jobs have been done now.RRuby- fingers crossed for the 2nd viewing! Not sure what to have tonight, will have a rummage shortly,I have to plan accordingly as I still am without a microwave, it's on order as its built in so has to match the oven.Have a good day all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all! The weekend has been chock full of doing things mostly digging and filling the skip with earth. There'll be a flat garden with a patio before long. Depending on the weather there'll be more digging today, but not until this afternoon, I have to go out in a bit. One of OHs friends came round yesterday to borrow the pressure washer so he went off armed to the teeth with it, the attachments and the hose with various connectors so let's hope he managed to clean all he wants to clean. And I went social visiting in a garden, luckily it only spat a bit with rain, but we had a nice chat and some tentative plans were formed for September, obviously depending on whether we have a local lockdown or not and if we're off the governements hit list.Oh is on board as in, actually interested in the final look of the covered thing and is going to bring his design mind to it, but I think I'm going to have to rein him in a bit because I'm not a master carpenter and the simplest thing I can build will be lovely thank you. There will be no turrets or other dragon slaying improvements such as flamethrowers or ballistae...Or spikes coming out of the sides to stab unwary wildlife...or me.So today is go sort something out, take sticky stuff off jars from Freegle, dig, sweat and creak a bit and then sit down. And maybe cook up some apples and chilli for turning into jelly tomorrow now I have the jars. I didn't want to use my good ones, one, because they are too big for what I would call a condiment, and two, most of these will be given away and I want to keep the ones I spent money on because I know I can reuse them infinitely. Or if they are given away, they'll be given to people who'll give them back for refills...:)Gers, that's so young! My condolences...Scarlet, hope your friend improves...mehefin, you always seem to find something positive int he negatives..Hope your appointment comes quickly. And I never understand why they don't do both eyes at once. AOD, still chuckling at world of sog, and yes, the weather predictions are a bit Mystic Meg at the moment, stick a finger in the air and hope to hit something...fingers crossed for your daughter Ruby. Hey all reading along, hope you're doing OK or even just doing, mountains to shovel Monday!Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi10

Afternoon all
Been missing in action for the last few days as I have been feeling in the doldrums, not sure why but the weather doesn’t help with thunder and lightning and heavy rainfall it’s been so humid as well which also doesn’t help.
Obviously the Covid situation doesn’t help either, really feeling for all those people who have lost their jobs ☹️
I had to take the car in to the garage as it had a safety recall on it, didn’t take too long but just as they finished the heavens opened and I got drenched☹️
We decided to go out on a little outing on Friday to a lovely little village not too far away, you do usually get quite a lot of overseas tourists here as it is such a picturesque little place with not really much to do just a trout farm a teashop a church and a hotel and as the weather was not good we thought there wouldn’t be a lot of people about, how wrong we were….. it was absolutely heaving with no parking spaces to be had so we turned around and went to a local garden centre to get a bite to eat.
This also was packed to the rafters and the queue for the restaurant was out of the doors and people were queueing in the rain! What with having to wear a mask indoors and the humidity and the amount of people about it was not fun at all and we decided to go home😏
The sun has just come out here so will go and hang my washing out hopefully that will dry quite quickly. I will also give the bird feeders a good wash and disinfect them.
I have a small shopping list so will pop out and get what’s on that.
Summer in winter chicken for tea tonight, nice and simple will have some green beans with it.
Gers - sorry to hear about a death in the family
Have a good day today everyone
