Hi, first time posting hopefully in the right category...
I bought a sofa on finance from scs nearly 3years ago I am still paying for it monthly, I took out the insurance which was sold to me on the basis it covers everything the insurance company is castlelan group, my sofa is leather and recently peeled I made a claim and a man came to look at my sofa, he explained he sees this all the time with this type of sofa and he would take a fabric sample and order material to then come back and recover it, he cut a piece of fabric from the back of the sofa. 2 days later I received a letter from the insurance company stating my claim had been rejected, they are saying the damage has been done deliberately. So he's cut a piece of my Sofa advised it will be fixed then I find the claim Is refused. I have emailed them a complaint and awaiting a response, how can they physically cut the fabric to get it matched to material for a Repair then refuse it. I am just looking for advice to see if I have any rights here.
Thank you
