Hi, can anyone please recommend a UST Projector that does not take more than 17 inches/ 43 cm of distance from a 100 inch screen?
Not looking to spend over £500. Only going to be used sparingly for an odd movie night.
Thanks.

I think you'll find it difficult to get a decent UST projector for that kind of money. Optoma do a short throw for under £500, but nowhere near your throw requirements - about 1 metre for 100 inch screen.

I can recommend Optoma if you haven't had one. I've had an Optoma HD141X for a few years now and still going strong. We have a weekly movie night and watch the F1 on it as well. Set up is on a raised table at one end of the room - I did want to ceiling mount it but the OH said no. Takes about 10 minutes to set up, then put away at the end. I do have a retractable screen on the opposite side. Works well, as I can connect the projector to Tivo box, Youview box, PS4 and bluray player. Screen is 180". Also plays 3d movies, active 3d, which is way better than the cinema 3d if you are into 3d.
Personally, I think you'd have a good chance of getting a very good projector for under £500 but not a good UST one.
