Quote for roof and chimney work

Hi all,

I need to have 4 chimney cowls fitted to my main front chimney (to prevent water getting in but allow emissions out). I've had a quote from a roofer who with good reviews/established business etc. (who lives just down the road). I don't really want to spend time getting more quotes if this one is reasonable.

It's as follows: (I live in a two storey + roof space terraced house).

 

Install 4 chimney cowls to chimney pots

Cement on Chimney Stack and Ridge Tile

Use of Scaffolding (£400)

£790 in total including scaffolding. No VAT

 

Based on research I've done the scaffolding cost seems ok. They are providing the cowls and that’s included.

I've been given a couple of dates next month which suggests it’s up to 1 days work - and been assured the scaffolding will be up for a max of a week.

Just wanted to check what you guys think?
