Deferred July Tax
[Deleted User]
I’ve been unable to work since April. I’ve just logged into my self assessment account which says my July payment is overdue. When I checked in April I’m sure it said I didn’t have to do anything to defer July payment. Was I supposed to declare it?

According to this page you don’t have to tell them but due date should show as January 2021. Not sure why mine doesn’t.0 -
Have you done your self assessments for year ending 2020? I received the tax statement after doing mine and, in a confusing way, said the tax was not due until January.0

For 19/20, wouldn’t the tax be due Jan 2021 as normal?0

Yes, but the payment on account for July was also deferred on the statement.0

I haven’t been submitted 19/20 yet. I’ll do that soon. Thanks0
