Due to travel on 1st september, to mainland Spain. The tui app says online checkin opens tomorrow. I’m almost certain it will be cancelled, but as yet have had no opportunity to amend of cancel for free.
if I check in is there any difference to my rights if the option becomes available to amend? Or should I wait to see what tui announces this week?

This from TUI website says:
3. Check in online for both of your flights
If you’re flying with TUI, online check-in opens 24 hours before your outbound flight (departing from the UK) and is available right up until three hours before take-off. You’ll also need to check in 24 hours before your return flight. If you’re flying with one of our partner airlines, you’ll need to check their website for more info.https://www.tui.co.uk/destinations/info/preparing-to-travel
I know it used to be earlier than 24 hours but I think TUI have changed it.
