Credit file worse now accounts being paid

Options
I started a debt management plan in 2015 with Stepchange that was around £19k with 7 creditors. Most of the debts on the plan defaulted around a year later, with a couple defaulting in 2018. My DMP payments have continued and it's due to be fully repaid by March 2021. I've noticed however that since some of the defaulted debts have now been repaid and come off the plan in the last few months, my credit score seems to be decreasing if anything but there have been no other changes to my circumstances. Would anyone know why this is? My credit score's much worse now than it was when the debts were relatively freshly defaulted, but I haven't obtained any additional credit or got any CCJs etc.

Credit scores generally react negatively to change, good or bad.

But no one sees or uses it so it's fine. The important thing is that your credit files are in better shape and that you will start looking better to lenders.

If you’re debts are being paid, and your reports show that, then the “score” doesn’t matter. As has been discussed on here many, many, maaaany times in the past.
