Mercedes claim, has anyone signed up, which solicitor

There will only be one actual joint action case. If you are signed up with anybody but the solicitors laying that case, you are not part of that case.
Once that's done... Quantify your actual losses.
Once you've done that (or, more likely, failed to...)
What do you think the chances of a court ordering MB to pay out are?
If they do, how much do you think the court would actually order MB to pay out?
How much do you think the legal costs would be in the event of a loss? (You do realise you'd have to pay a share, right?)
And, of course, a win may not include an order for costs - so subtract the legal costs from the payout.

The lawyers will need to fund such an action from litigation funders. In the recent Post Office case, the funders took about 75% of the final settlement. Not a lot was left for the individual claimants after that.

Clever lawyers don't work for no fee. Someone is paying and it may well be the people they have signed up dependent on the agreement signed, so trying for a claim could potentially lead to a four or five figure bill for those looking for compo.0

The highly regarded Black Belt Barrister has just posted a video on the Mercedes dieselgate scandal on YouTube. Well worth a watch!-1

Like VW, they will settle and people who joined the action will get payouts.AdrianC said:There will only be one actual joint action case. If you are signed up with anybody but the solicitors laying that case, you are not part of that case.
