Chimney work & a few tiles fixing

Hi all,
New to this forum & this sort of game, getting a bit of work done here and there on a few properties, if I could get peoples opinions would be greatly appreciated!
Have a chimney & side chimney that need the edges redone with lead, the main chimney needs the bowls recemented as it seems its falling off, and a few tiles missing/broken (1-3) that need replacing..
Had a quote from a fella, two for labour, days work (or half), no scaffolding (just off the ladder) for about 500£, how much would people usually expect to pay/charge for this sort of thing.
Another random Q I know it’s unrelated to the forum (sorry if it shouldn’t be posted) but any tips for finding suitable reliable & reasonable priced tradesman & the best way to go about doing this?
Many thanks
M

I don’t know about the quote, but I wouldn’t use anyone who would work at height without a scaffold it’s illegal and you will end up in a world of trouble should there be an accident!
As for finding tradesmen family and friends are your first port of call.
Maybe, just once, someone will call me 'Sir' without adding, 'You're making a scene.'1
