No they were not recommended by the builder. I chose them myself seeing tons of good reviews online. Anyways I will be calling developer tomorrow to ask who management company is. To be honest I don't expect them to tell me anything since I am not buying from them directly. But after reading all your opinions my conclusion so far is... If residents control management company we can proceed if Trinity it's probably better to pull out :(

I think your approach is sensible. Just a couple of final thoughts. Estate service charges are not completely unregulated. You do have recourse to the Property Ombudsman if the management company starts behaving unreasonably or delivers bad service, and Trinity Estates is a member of the scheme  (if that is the company but you can check online). It's time consuming and requires effort to do it, but we did it successfully (twice).

If it is a third party management company but you really like the house and are thinking of proceeding, check the management company is a member of the TPO scheme and read through the TPO consumer guidance - this is your protection if things do go wrong. Best of luck whatever you decide to do.

I'll definitely have a look at it after work. That's very useful thank you. Yeah we love that house and location with large park just across the street for our dog. We feel like this is the one we were always looking for. It would be painful if it didn't work out. I called developer today. Unfortunately they did not respond to my questions right away. Told me to give them my email and mobile and will contact me "as soon as they can". For now I'll continue to chase my solicitor to actually do his job from time to time. Thanks!
