hi all, have been receiving high rate pip care for nearly 5 yrs done on a paper decision and now up for renewal end of Oct 20
today i have recieved my renewal pack and i thought it would be a huge 50 page form but found its half the size and it looks like there is not to much space to cover fully my illness (bipolar, anxiety etc) how do others find the renewal process at the moment,is it still telephone assesments?ive never had a pip assesment before as my first was a paper decision??
they did write to me 6 weeks ago and said they were giving a six month extension so was surprised to recieve it this morning
many thanks in advance

The renewal forms are always a lot shorter than the PIP2 ones. Although don't let this put you off writing as much information as possible about how your conditions affect you. Add a couple of real life examples of what happened the last time you attempted that activity for each descriptor that applies to you. Use extra sheets of paper because there's never enough of room in the form to write everything. Make sure you put your name and NI number on everything you send.Just writing "no change" is not advisable and it should be treated as a new claim by all claimants.Face to face assessments are still suspended. Which means it will either be a telephone assesment or paper based one. Most people are having a telephone assessment in place of the face to face ones.Yes PIP awards have been extended by 6 months for awards that are due to end soon but that doesn't mean you weren't due to receive your review forms.Evidence should be sent with the form to support your claim because they rarely contact anyone for this.

Hubby received his renewal form on 12/8. The questions are shorter and more applicable to his issues. I'm going to give all the relevant information about him and not leave anything out, just in case. This is the first renewal, so we shall see what happens, fingers crossed. I will update this post with the result.1

Sent my renewal papers back recently. Warning to anyone sending a copy of a previous PIP assessment report (as I did for reference/evidence)... this generated a text suggesting they'd received a report from a current assessment (implying to me a paper based review may have been done) and would be in touch to give their decision within 8 weeks. Needless to say the agent queried about it was most unsympathetic and 'didn't get the issue'... but eventually acknowledged it could be misleading."Do not attribute to conspiracy what can adequately be explained by incompetence" - rogerblack0

That will be the usual PIP review form which is always shorter. Not sure how they can be more applicable to his issues because they are the PIP descriptors. Although worded slightly different they are still the PIP descriptors.
