Pip assessment telephone call

Options
So I had my phone assessment this morning at 11am only lasted 23minutes but how can this be as I've seen some many posts of people saying there's took over 1hr is there anyone else that had a short assessment and all was good?

I've had an assesment that lasted less than 20 mins and one that lasted an hour 1/2. Was successful both times. I think it just depends who you get!

The length of time the assessment lasts means absolutely nothing at all and you can't speculate anything at this point.

How long does it take to get the decision letter from dwp?

There's no timescales. Anything from 2-8 weeks, sometimes longer. Wait a week and ring DWP to request a copy of the assessment report ot be sent to you, this will give you some idea what the decision is likely to be because they mostly go with the report.

That will depend if you're transfering from DLA, if you are then no there's no backdated money.
If it's a first time claim and you're successfully awarded then yes, providing you had the conditions for at least 3 months when you first applied.
If you're not successful, then you'll have 1 month from the date of the decision to request the Mandatory Reconsideration.
