It looks like an old store card which nothing is owed on and haven't used in years. Please can anyone advise how I can amend this? Feeling really disheartened as it didn't seem to be a problem when we had the DIP in Feb. Darn Covid!
Get confirmation from your local council saying you're still on the electoral roll and send it to whatever agencies don't have it on the file. TransUnion fixed it pretty quickly for me. Equifax took two and a half months and then added a notice of correction (not good) to my file as well. Took several phone calls to get it all sorted.

@csgohan4 I’m not sure I understand, when you say contact the company that deals with the store card. Do you mean the actual store? it is NEXT directory. Or do you mean the credit company that’s flagging the issue? Do I ask them to remove it from my credit file? It was due to two late payments in 2014. Have t used it since 2018. Should I cancel the card? Will this rectify the issue? Thank you so much everyone for advice. Stress is building! 😩

Give them a break.OP, as it’s just a DIP they probably only did a soft search. Go and sort the store card out, make sure there’s no other problems and then reapply. You should be fine
When you say "go and sort the store card out" can you elaborate a little please?
It is recorded as a number 1, when i look into it, it is recorded as one late payment with next directory. The late payment was in jan 2015. I continued to use the card (and pay on time) with green OK's reported on my file until 2018, I have not used the card since then and nothing is owed.
Can I get this adverse credit removed? I know the late payment will stay on my file (that's fair enough as i was late)
but could I get the actual red cross with "1 x adverse credit reported" if I ring NEXT.
I am just so worried I will harm by credit file more.
Thank you0 -
Equifax and Experian both have me with good credit scores. TransUnion apparently can't give me one as I have a thin file. God knows why they can't find what the other two can perfectly well.Nationwide mortgage application (FTB)
Offer accepted on flat - 7/8
DIP - 10/8
Full application - 10/8
Valuation Booked - 11/8
Valuation received/approved -17/8
Hard search (Equifax) - 20/8
Offer received - 28/90 -

One old historic late payment is unlikely to be the reason for your decline.

It must be my electoral roll issue then.
Just thought it would be good idea to try and sort the late payment bad mark, I just want to get this sorted desperately0 -
The late payment marker and potential electoral roll issue would have been there prior to the previous DIP. Whilst lenders have tightened up to some degree, I can’t see that this would cause a huge issue if you got the previous DIP, so that would suggest something else. Has your husband checked his files yet?

Just an update: Nationwide appeal came back unsuccessful. But I have got DIP from lloyds and Halifax, so really no idea what the issue is with Nationwide, considering they gave us a DIP prior to covid0
