Heat reflective film on uPVC windows - Any recommendations?

Hi all,
I'm looking for some heat reflective film to apply to a couple of uPVC doors/windows. they're in a room that gets very hot, so if I can do anything to make it a bit more bearable. Does anyone have any recommendations or has anyone used this before?
I've looked at a product made by Purlfrost, but they're pretty expensive, so was hoping for something a bit better value.
Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks,
R.

White blinds or curtains will be far more efficient than any film - unless it's a mirror-like film that will make the glass looking tinted from inside.

window tints are pointless in my opinion , all you do is make it harder to see out and make the room darker and you wont make much if any difference to the heat in the room
your room gets hot because the sun is let in via the window heats the air inside the room and because the heat has no where to go makes it unbearable
you are better off creating a draft to get the air moving and blocking out the sun by closing the curtains1 -

I've seen one brad with models which let in varying degrees of light and associated varying degrees of heat reflection0 -
My kitchen was getting unbearably hot in the sunshine earlier this year. No room for a blind on the window so I got some of this film -

It was very easy to fit. It does work as in it keeps some heat out, but the kitchen is a bit darker and when the sun goes down the window turns into a mirror on the inside.0 -
How long has it been up for? Just want to get an idea of its longevity.Ash_Pole said:My kitchen was getting unbearably hot in the sunshine earlier this year. No room for a blind on the window so I got some of this film -

Also would like to know whether the room is appreciably cooler as the temperature drops because for me that would defeat the purpose. Heating a room costs money and opening a window doesn't.No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.0 -
It doesn't defeat the purpose. In winter it reflects the inner heat inside. However, both in winter and in summer the sun heats the room less.

Up since about April or May. Yes the room is cooler (well less unbearably hot anyway).Rosa_Damascena said:
