Hi everyone!
Just after some advice really. Long story short have had the car for a year now on a 48m PCP. At the moment the car is valued at a £4500 with the settlement figure at £5400. Now if i wanted to get a slightly newer car what would be the best way to do this including the negative equity which isn't that much really. Would i still be able to do this do you think easily?
Many thanks.

What do you mean by 'best'? How are you planning on purchasing the next car and what are the details?
Regarding the negative equity, I would clear this in full. Do not roll it into another finance deal...0 -
PCP ideally. By clearing it in full do you mean privately selling the vehicle and covering the difference before signing a new deal?DrEskimo said:What do you mean by 'best'? How are you planning on purchasing the next car and what are the details?

Not quite sure what the part-ex price would be via a dealership vs webuyanycar for example which is where i got the figure from to begin with in terms of the value of the car.0 -
PCP on the next deal would depend on the exact details to know if it is 'best'. It also depends what you are looking for, do you want lowest monthly cost or cheapest overall?xomethinskinda said:

Generally selling privately will give you the higher return, but worth getting a range of prices from dealers/brokers to see what the best trade price is. But yes, I would trade/sell then settle any shortfall and then look at buying the next car.
I mean it's going to cost a fair bit for you to change, but I suspect you already know that....0 -
Why did you get a car on a 4yr PCP, then decide to change so quickly?
Why not just see the contract out?0 -
And it sounds like a used car so will potentially be very expensive.0
