Next have told me they wont be doing telephone VIP slots and wont be calling anyone in regards to a vip slot, they said sale orders wont be taken over the phone until the sale starts and whoever has an internet slot will be able to book it now.

Also said its done at random which it obviously isn't because its the same people that get slots every year... why cant they just start the sale for everyone at the same time, it would be a lot more fair... I miss out every year and this year cannot afford to pay full price for clothes because of the situation we are in... so yet again by the time the sale starts everything i want will be gone.

Part of confirmation email says
We have updated our site this year so you will no longer need a password to sign in to your slot and you can also update your time slot at any point via http://www.next.co.uk/vipsale/.
I think they have closed the loopholes.

Yeah but remember we've only just discovered that we can register for a slot. Give it a few more hours and I'm sure we'll have moved into the later time slots.

I don't think it's that odd. Bear in mind the emails haven't gone out yet, so it's only us (and those from other forums who have been checking obsessively) who know the slots are available. Tomorrow when the thousands of emails go out, watch the slots suddenly fill up like mad!

i txt my friend about 15 mins ago and she got a slot for 7.30/8.00 so its already going up

shes also one who gets one every sale !!!

Just rang up cos I never get VIP, and told it is random. Nightmare.
