only just seen this post but how would you know if your a newbie!?
Am not actually a newbie - used my new name as I could not believe how selfish you sound - asking for codes and ways to order when not invited to the VIP sale and yet threatening to report other MSE'rs to Next when they do exactly the same!0 -

I can't stand people who use new IDs to make comments that they haven't got the balls to say otherwise  Are you 14?0 -
What qualifies you to get a VIP slot? I just got an email notifying me of the sale and saying "This promotional email update was sent to you because you are a valued Next customer." Obviously not that valued0

I have no idea  This was the first time I got one despite having had an account since about 1998 and spending a fortune every year. I suspect I only got one because last sale I phoned up and kicked up a fuss0 -
All you need to do is fill out the back of the returns part of the delivery slip, parcel it up again with the sticker on the outside and the returns slip on the inside and give it back to the courier who will sign proof of return.
With the sale items, it is all such a palavour that you are best keeping very good records of what exactly you returned and all of your proof of returns - I have to check my monthly invoice with a fine tooth comb for at least 2 months afterwards to make sure the right items get credited back to my account as I order over 100 items, return at least 60 of them.
Next are fine no matter how many you return by the way, as long as it is picked up within the 10 days time (I have arranged for stuff to be picked up after this if I was on holiday etc...)
Can I ask why you order that many items and then return the majority of them? I'm sure I read on here somewhere that someone ordereds 300 items over the phone, surely no one needs that many items! Not trying to stir up trouble I was just interested why people order so much stuff when they know they'll return most of it.0 -
Can't speak for everyone else, but I have ordered a few things which I know will probably go back. For me it's because I have ordered things like three different coats - I am not sure which one I want to keep, because I haven't tried them on.0

No trouble to explain at all! We tend to do the majority of our clothes shopping from Next twice a year for work/casual and then only pick up odd items throughout the year, so big spend in the sale, but it kits us out for 6-12 months!
well, if I am ordering a work suit for my husband or myself, I order two jacket sizes and two trouser sizes because the cut/fit is not consistent from design to design so that's 4 items to perhaps buy 2 or none at all if it isn't nice when it comes (I have had some beautifully cut and tailored next suits turn up and some that look like rubbish on a peg!). Then in the sale, although you order those 4 items, most often or not one or two doesn't turn up as it is really out of stock, then you are stuck with trousers or jacket that do fit but no matching item...so the whole "set" goes back! Plus, if you are looking for 3-4 work suits, then you need probably to try on 6-8 to find them...so already thats 4x8 x 2 of us = 64 items at least!
Plus, like the last poster, I may order 3 coats to see which one I like best (although if I love 2 out of 3, I might stretch to buying them both so it does work in Next's favour!!).
With women's tops and jumpers, I find it so hit and miss whether they look nice or not, something that looks great in the catalogue may look horrible in real life or on me, and the opposite can be true too - I have had some real suprises where I've added a top into my order on a last minute whim and then loved it when its arrived and it soon is one of my favourite items of clothing. Tend to get these in two sizes too as never sure which is too tight/too baggy.
If their sizing and cut and quality of material was a little more consistent then I would perhaps not need to order so much! However, it does mean that when it goes back (and this is usually within 1 or 2 days of me getting it, so the 28th or 29th of dec), someone else has the chance to get it in the sale!!0 -
