Buying car at end of PCH - discount?

I got quote to buy my VWFS car at £24100. Retail price is £24-25K (only 8 cars on the market). If car goes to a dealer after auction, it would get 2 year free warranty. If it goes to trader, it won't get any decent warranty but it will be cheaper. I decided it's not worth buying it now, I would considered it at £20-22K. I'm sending it back to BCA soon. Already booked appointment.
In my case, I probably won't be getting replacement immediately, have other lease car. But in future will probably replace it with cash purchase, with better spec but a bit cheaper/younger.
In past, VWFS quoted me £42K to buy car at the end of 2 years lease. It went to BCA and came back on the market at £38K, where it lingered for a few months and ended up being discounted to £34K. It's possible it sold for even lower price, depends on negotiation skills of buyer.
Some people said they managed to negotiate with VWFS/BCA, so just try.
