When will the solicitor require the mortgage offer?

The solicitor was instructed three weeks ago. On the same day, all the
documents requested were emailed across along with £450 on account. They
didn't ask for the mortgage offer or acknowledge they received the
documents. I sent one chase-up email two weeks ago enquiring if the offer was required
but not had any reply. Is this normal, and if so, I'll sit back and let
them get on with it. Regardless, at what stage will they require the
mortgage details?

They would normally be sent the mortgage details directly by the lender - has the full offer actually been issued? Does the lender have the solicitors' details?1

How would the lender have the solicitor's details? I am applying through I broker so I guess the broker must've told them who they are on application, is that how it works?Credit card: £8,524.31 | Loan: £3,224.80 | Student Loan (Plan 1): £5,768.55 | Total: £17,517.66Debt-free target: 21-Mar-2027

I applied directly for my mortgage on Wednesday and I was asked for my solicitor's details.0

Yes, the full offer was made before we instructed our solicitor. So there were no details to add when the mortgage was applied for. Hence the reason I asked the solicitor if they required the information.davidmcn said:They would normally be sent the mortgage details directly by the lender - has the full offer actually been issued? My broker asked for my solicitor details and the lender sent the mortgage offer directly to my solicitor. They also sent a copy to me.0

Speak to the broker, they might just send on the details to the lender.0 -
The offer sent to you and the offer sent to the solicitor are not the same. The solicitors copy has instructions specifically for them to deal with, so they will need their own copy direct from the lender.0

3 weeks on and no response from your solicitor sounds like they are no good. i would give them a call and ask them for an update on progress with regard to searches etc.0
