How much to remove fireplace?

I dont like the fireplace place that came with my house when we bought it years ago. We have only switched it on once to see if it works and it did. This is how it looks now.
I want to remove the whole thing and have all my entertainment electrics under the tv and have the wiring all hidden within the chimney breast.
I want something like this. How much would it cost to remove old fireplace and surround? Would the chimney need cleaning before being blocked off? Want a rough idea before I get quotes from local builders. Thanks in advance
