What to do when interest free period ends on CC?

Options
My credit card has an interest-free period which ends in October. I'm unsure what the best action to take is after this point.
Should I close that credit card account completely before applying for a different card elsewhere?

What if the same bank is offering a different card now, with a different offer, can I just ask them to switch me over?

Thanks!

C.

You can only close the account if the balance is zero. But even if it is, only close it if you have several others in place and then not until you have your new card.

Check with your current lender if you can apply for a new customer offer. It's unlikely.
