in Credit cards
Hi all
I’ve searched the forum and can’t find this anywhere.
Like many people, I had a Virgin Holiday that was cancelled due to COVID-19. I paid on my Virgin Money, Virgin Atlantic credit card to get extra points.

Like many people, I had a Virgin Holiday that was cancelled due to COVID-19. I paid on my Virgin Money, Virgin Atlantic credit card to get extra points.
Eventually the holiday was refunded and I have just realised that I have not earnt any miles on my credit card spend since then. I have messaged Virgin Money and they tell me I have a negative balance of 30,000 miles with them and until I’ve earnt more than this I won’t see any credited to my account.
My question is - if I close my account with Virgin Money, will they claw back the miles from my Flying Club account?

Thanks for any advice.

Ask Virgin.
Only they can give you a definitive answer.0 -
You'd be best to get an answer directly from Virgin but the fact that they haven't already clawed them back makes me think that they won't (or can't). Say you'd already spent them - what would they do then?1

What could they claim back ?3.1.7 Miles and Tier Points have no cash value and are not exchangeable under any circumstances for cash.

I am not getting any cashback on my Nationwide select credit card until I have repaid the cashback because I also got a refund of £5000 for my holiday.
I'm only spending about £50 a month on my card just now so It will take a long time before I get anymore cashback.
At least they didn't claw the cashback back.1 -
Thanks.Like you say it, makes me think they can’t get them back if they haven’t already. I may as well close the account.0
