Hello,
Looking for some Advise. I’ve been with my employer 18 years and they’ve recently introduced a new working pattern which I’m not able to work due to health conditions. They’ve basically told me work it or leave. I’ve been offered no alternative and no redundancy package. My contract does have a ‘flexibility clause’.

What are my rights? Am I entitled to redundancy? Can I take them to a tribunal?

Thanks Anamox but I’m not actually part of a union so feel a bit lost. Thanks for replying x0

Are you able to share on here what your health conditions are so that we can see if there are any possible better solutions0 -
At risk of being accused of being nosy again - more info is really needed.
What are your current shifts ?
What are they proposing ?
Why are the shifts changing ? Is it just you or the entire team or workforce
Why does your health condition mean you cannot do the new shifts but (I assume) able to do the current shifts ?
As above, the flexibility clause will be pivotal - hard to argue about it now when you agreed to it 18 years ago as well
Redundancy won't be offered as the job still exists
