I emailed Amigo loans to ask for any details they hold for me from an existing loan. My loan was approx 10 years ago and they said they did not hold any of my details anymore, in line with GDPR guidance these details were not held indefinitely and are deleted. If I obtain statements from my bank showing my loan payments etc would I stand a chance of submitting a guarantor claim? What would my chances be with Financial Ombudsman? Thanks

A bank statement just shows a payment entry.  it does not show any details of the loan.

Thanks for your response, but if I had a statement with the amount borrowed put into the bank would that not help? And obviously statements until I finished the loan?
  • All it would show is that you made payments to Amigo.
