Tenancy Agreement mention of allocated parking

Hello,
I am a long time lurker of the forum.
In the process of moving flats, found a new Place advertised with allocated parking space. Now, we've got the tenancy agreement which is a bog standard one. However, it doesn't mention at all the allocated parking. Upon querying this, the EA mentioned that they can't add the parking space to the agreement. But they will verify which is the allocated parking bay.
This seems a bit odd, more laziness or unwillingness of the EA to make the change.
I assume that if the allocated parking is not in the contract, I've got no leg to stand on in case of any issues with parking? ( the parking was underneath the apartment building, accessed by a fob/remote.
Is there anything I can do to convince the EA? If, not then i guess its either risk or look for a new flat (loose holding deposit).
Many thanks for your opinions in advance.

Yes I imagine if you carry on with the purchase and it turns out there is no parking you would be screwed.1 -
We did ask specifically about parking, and were shown a empty parking bay. Also ad is shown with allocated parking.
EA whocwho showed us thetthe flat confirmend that there's allocated space, just won't add it to the tenancy agreement.
P.S this is not purchase of flat, i am renting.0 -
If it's not mentioned in the tenancy agreement then assume you have no parking.3

I'm sure it could be easily added with the aid of a Mark 1 biro. Are they willing to say anything in writing about it? Even an exchange of emails saying that it is included will be better than nothing.

Property management companies and EA are literally the worst people on earth.0 -
Simply add the relevant clause to your copy of the TA and initial it before you sign it. TA's are not set in stone, they are an agreement between 2 parties, and you can amend whatever you like. The EA isn't one of the 2 parties, so not their concern. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

if the agent doesn't want to add the parking space to the contract then it means they can't allocate the space to you contractually. i am guessing they don't want to promise the space to you then someone else parks in it and they have to get rid of them so you can park in it. otherwise they would have to compensate you for the loss of the promised parking space. with allocated parking space, these sort of problems do happen where the neighbour or a visitor parks in your space and you have to ask them to move.
it means that if the agent comes back and confirm in writing the allocated parking space, it is more difficult for you to ask for compensation if it subsequently turns out you can't always park there as someone else is there.0 -

If the allocated parking is critial to you, either get it added to the tenancy agreement or walk away.Otherwise you'll be back here with a thread titled"Promised a parking space but none available - what can I do?"1
