Hi,
I was due to travel to Orlando in March for a family holiday to Disney. We booked our park tickets, flights, Villa, Car hire etc all separately.
Due to Covid restrictions and FCO the flights were cancelled and parks were closed, so we were unable to travel.
We eventually managed to get full refunds for car hire & Virgin flights. The Villa refused to refund (as per their T&Cs) so we claimed this through our insurance (losing £500 excess)
The park tickets were booked through a company called Attraction Tickets and rather than offer a refund Disney and Universal Studios have extended the tickets to be used any time up to 31/12/21. Initially we thought we would postpone the trip and do it all next year, but the cost of flights has significantly increased, and with Covid ongoing we would just rather cancel and wait a few more year.
The cancellation policy for Attraction Tickets states they will only refund 80% for cancellations - so at £4058 the full cost of the tickets, I am set to lose a further £811 if i cancel these tickets.
My question....Can i claim the £811 cancellation fee via Section 75 through the credit card i used to pay for the tickets?

no section 75 gives you the same rights against the card company as against the retailer. So the cancellation is in line with the terms and conditions you signed and the credit card company has no responsibility to reimburse you.0

I would also just add that if the parks are open, and you just don't turn up, then S75 does not cover you.0
