Vax Swift Cylinder Replacement Filter

Hey folks.
My filter has now reached the end of its life and I need a new one. Snag is, nowhere online or local shops have it in stock and when I have been given more information its been that the part is discontinued.
Its for a Swift V-106 1800W
I have looked on the official vax site, amazon, ebay, google shopping, spares4u and a few others, the only place I can see one is on alibaba so if I want to risk it fitting, I can order 500!
Anyone got any suggestions of where else I can try? I really dont want to throw away a perfectly good hoover for the sake of a £10ish filter. ( of course no filter means I couldnt really give it away either )
