Insurance after medical

Hi,
I lost my license on medical grounds (mental health & alcoholism). No points or convictions.
I've now got my license back....yay!!!
BUT how best do I go about getting the best insurance quote?
I’m worried they may refuse to cover me  :'(
many thanks!

  • Unless an insurer specifically asks if you have previously had your licence suspended or revoked due to medical reasons, I can't see why you would even have to mention it.
You can truthfully answer no to the question asking about points or convictions and normally one of the assumptions the insurance company makes is: (this example is from Aviva)
    • You and all drivers have advised the DVLA or DVA of any notifiable illness or disability and they have agreed to the issue of a licence.
and as the DVLA have given you your licence back, that shouldn't cause a problem.
