I just had this combi boiler installed to replace my 35year old Glow Worm Boiler which was in the house when I moved in with all the attached airing cupboard and loft tank, all of which have been romoved. Just needed some advice about the hot water temperature. I just can't seem to get the hot water temperature right, either it's too hot to handle and I have to add cold water, or it's not hot enought. What is the ideal temperature for hot water, and should I be using the Preheat or Eco mode? Thanks.

I have mine on high temp because we use it for the shower and it recommended 60° because of legionaires disease.

I use eco in Summer and preheat in winter, it just means the little tank in the boiler is kept at a certain temperature so the hot water comes through faster.
  • Too hot for what purpose ?
I have mine set to the "e" symbol and it's hot enough for showers even in winter.
    I never use preheat.

Too hot for washing up as I always have to add cold water. Don't have and "e" symbol
  • Mine goes : Min 1 2 3 4 e 6 Max
Look carefully or maybe they have changed the dial on the latest models.
