Holding back credits - awareness
switcheroo

Hi all
New poster here but I have been a member of MSE energy saving club for many years and have used it many times to switch energy suppliers.
Yesterday I decided to use it again and have decided to switch to Avro.
I was also with Avro back in 2017\18.
I just wanted to share the following with you for awareness.
This morning Avro sent me a link to the brand new online account, to my surprise it also immediately linked to the old 2018 account I once had with them and staring out from the screen I could see a £42 credit which they had never refunded nor advised me about.
I searched back on my final parting email from Avro back then and at the bottom of the email it stated that I should check the account over the next 8 weeks to check for the final statement, it went on to say the onus was on me to manually claim if I was due a credit, of course they stated that any outstanding debit they would process that automatically - I completely missed this and never did know about the credit nor claim.
I believe (hope) that suppliers no longer pocket unsuspecting customer's money and are more communicative about final credits now.
It has though left me wondering whether I still have some credits sat with the other suppliers I have switched from in previous years.
