Washing Machine Emergency Drain Hose Connector

Hi all!
Today I had to use the emergency drain hose on my Samsung washing machine. It was a bit of a laborious process as the pipe is close to the ground, so we had to keep filling rather shallow trays and emptying them in the sink.
Does a connector exist that would allow me to connect the emergency drain hose on the washing machine to my hose pipe? It would be much easier if I could attach my hose pipe, and let it run into the drain outside.

I've seen washing machine draining tubes, but they seem to be for normal use, rather than to attach to the emergency pipe.  I'd ideally like a connector rather than a whole pipe too, as it will be easier to store and I can remove it when it's not needed. I hopefully won't need to use it that often, but my filter keeps getting clogged with cat hair (will be setting myself a reminder to empty the filter more often) so I can definitely see this happening again at some point!
I'm sure this must exist, I'm just not having much look with google - I'm probably using the wrong words and hope you lovely lot can help me out!

Many thanks in advance!

I know it is convenient and saves getting scratched and bitten but I would stop washing the cat in the machine. :D

You probably can find a connector. It will be called something like a "reducing hose connector". It may be difficult to find one that is small enough to go into the emergency hose on the one end and large enough to go into your garden hose. You could consider getting a double connector that is the correct size for the emergency hose on both ends, then cut a small section off the emergency hose to fit to one end, push the garden hose over it and secure with a small jubilee clip.
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.
  • Stick drain hose couple of inches into a garden hose ( as drain hose is thinner and will freely go into a garden hose ) and gaffer tape is, if it's too lose jubilee clip will secure it- don't over tighten it - you only need it for few minutes  at a time, no need to try to find a special connector ( there isn't one as there isn't market for them ), you may get small rubber reducer hose if you must. When I need to drain a full machine I put drain hose into a garden hose, gorilla tape or normal black / silver gaffer tape  - it will hold for few minutes and that's all I need...
