I know a few people who have bought those guns and been disappointed with them. They can work OK if you get the mix spot on with the right sand and wet enough, but often they squeeze out all the water and fat and leave you with a lump of sand.
A lot of people don't mix up the gauge for long enough to get plenty of air into the mix, and have to compensate with extra water to make it workable which adds to the problem.

That would be me.  For the few seconds I got it to work it was great but I spent so much time faffing around refilling, adding water, trying different mixtures it wasn't worth it.  In the end I just persevered and did it, very slowly, by hand.  As you say it's very hard not to end up with either a lump of sand or mortar running down the walls.

I expect you would be if you thought it was per linear metre. Be good for me if it was. Only have to do one bed joint a day.
  • I've recently done some repointing work on my house you'll need an angle grinder and a diamond blade/ pins, I used this company called My Tool Expert for my tools. might save you a bit of money going through them. used their diamond mortar raking pins and blades and was an absolute dream.

www.mytoolexpert.co.uk. fairly priced and offered free delivery.
