Just wondered if anyone would know the best product/method for refreshing my bathroom tile grouting. It would make a big difference to the overall appearance.Thanks....

Bleach and a toothbrush.0

Getting the old grout out to re-do can be a buggah. I found a multi-tool very handy, but went through a few of the appropriate blades. A manual grout scorer did damage, as it slipped several times when using the pressure needed and hit tiles.Maybe there's a better way I didn't find. Next time,I'd just re-tile or go for bleaching.0

I mixed thick bleach and baking powder to make a paste and left it on the grout for a few hours. Did wonders.3

There are products like this https://www.amazon.co.uk/UniBond-Reviver-Anti-mould-bathroom-kitchen/dp/B00LRAA86II have no idea how effective they are but for a few quid possibly worth trying before doing the 'hard work' options.

I have used this product on my kitchen tiles.TELLIT01 said:There are products like this https://www.amazon.co.uk/UniBond-Reviver-Anti-mould-bathroom-kitchen/dp/B00LRAA86II have no idea how effective they are but for a few quid possibly worth trying before doing the 'hard work' options.
The grout was grey and i used the Unibond white and i did apply 2 coat/applications 1 on 1 day and the next time a day later and it has been 1 year now and they are still white even after cleaning the tiles once a month for my kitchen monthly deep clean.
If you read the instructions it does mention that you have thoroughly clean the tile and grout before applying the product or it will not work so well. There is a sponge on the tube that you use to apply the stuff with as you squeeze the tube but i found that using your finger and working it in was best for me but you could use a latex glove on your hand if you don't want to yuse your bare finger/s .3 -
I'm sure I've seen an infomercial for a similar product in the small hours, can't remember what it was called but was impressed by how time-saving it was.TELLIT01 said:There are products like this https://www.amazon.co.uk/UniBond-Reviver-Anti-mould-bathroom-kitchen/dp/B00LRAA86II have no idea how effective they are but for a few quid possibly worth trying before doing the 'hard work' options. No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.0 -
I've just painted it with white bathroom emulsion and then wiped off the tiles with a clean damp rag. This has worked at least as well as any other product I've tried and is very quick. The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.1

To clean use either bleach or dettol mould and mildew remover. If you want to go down the route of grout removal, a dremel with a grout Removal tool makes life easy and then apply new grout.0
