Credit card help

I've been waiting on a refund from easyjet and ryanair for flights in june that were cancelled. The problem is I booked them on a credit card that I've now closed. Easyjet emailed to say they have refunded, however mbna said at first to phone a couple of weeks later to see if it hit a clearing account. When I phoned back I was told it would have been returned to Easyjet and not given any other options by the call centre worker. I've struggled to get through to easyjet to get a response from them.
I've heard nothing whatsoever from ryanair.

Has anyone any tips how to proceed?

Thanks
