I am looking for help to try and contact Love Holidays,  to cancel a honest abroad due to COVID-19 and they are proving extremely evasive and hard to contact.  Phone enquiries are not permitted and the live chat is not showing or working as they are apparently too busy!

Do you have anyway I can successfully contact them that I don’t know or have?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Go to "my bookings" on their website , cancel my holiday is an option.

  • Thanks for that. I wish a full refund, does using the cancel my holiday option allow me to process and request this?

Unlikely - if you choose to cancel then you'll be subject to their cancellation policy, under which you'll be on the hook for a significant chunk of the cost, maybe even all of it if the holiday is imminent.

    Two potential caveats to that:
    1. Under the Package Travel Regulations, you'd be eligible for a refund "in the event of unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances occurring at the place of destination or its immediate vicinity and which significantly affect (a) the performance of the package, or (b) the carriage of passengers to the destination", which some have interpreted as applying where there's negative FCO advice.
    2. The legality and fairness of such cancellation policies is potentially questionable, if you have the stomach for a fight in court.

Or have they perhaps proposed a significant change to the arrangements that you wish to reject (which wouldn't actually be you cancelling as such)?
  • When and where are you going? If holiday going ahead i.e flights running and hotel open, you will be subject to the cancellation terms and conditions at time of booking. If you wish to cancel based on FCO advise you may be able to claim on your insurance (check the policy details).

As above you can cancel on the “my account” section of the website rather than spend hours on the phone in a queue.

If you want to cancel why do you think you are entitled to a full refund from the company you booked with?
  • Most Loveholidays bookings are non-refundable in their entirety - so you'll likely receive nothing back if you cancel.
To be sure though, provide us with some more details and we'll tell you exactly what you're entitled to.
