Hello Forumites! In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non-MoneySaving matters are not permitted per the Forum rules. While we understand that mentioning house prices may sometimes be relevant to a user's specific MoneySaving situation, we ask that you please avoid veering into broad, general debates about the market, the economy and politics, as these can unfortunately lead to abusive or hateful behaviour.
Threads that are found to have derailed into wider discussions may be removed. Users who repeatedly disregard this may have their Forum account banned. I complete on Monday. Anything I can do to make sure there are no hiccoughs?

Just cross your fingers, chasing up people who do this every day isn't really going to help them.0

This is all in the hands of your solicitor now. Assuming you exchanged already (not doing same day exchange and completion) then any issues should have been ironed out at exchange. Not much more you can do - try to relax and enjoy the weekend.0

Have you Exchanged?

So the sale of our house completed at 11am. Our solicitor phoned us at 2 to say we had completed on our purchase. Our seller’s solicitors never confirmed this with the estate agent and didn’t pick up the phone for 2 1/2 hours. In the need the estate agent took our solicitor’s word for it. Glad I payed for the key wait cover!0

We are due to complete tomorrow and I am like a kid on xmas eve. I'm however taking the approach that it is out of my hands - we had an update today on our online progress tracker that our solicitor had called the lender, so that is likely to request the funds over by CHAPS, or to check that they have been sent at best guess? No new is good news, so onwards to completion day tomorrow. Hopefully this time tomorrow night we have completed and be cracking open the champagne in our new living room after a nervous 7 month wait!0
