Has anyone else had problems at Starbucks with the eat out to help out scheme?
We went as a family on Monday, had a drink each and no discount applied.  We all chose drink in option, which was stated on the label of our cups.  We questioned in store and were told they were not applying the discount and did not know how to apply it.  Awaiting response from Starbucks customer service but wondered if anyone else had had similar issues?

Did you order food too? It’s not valid on just drinks, as far as I know. You can get 50% off your total order; including drinks, but you do have to have bought food to consume inside.

Hmmm, I can't see Starbucks mentioned as participating. I take it there was no blue sign?

This is from the government website, it seems to say food or drink.

    • to get a 50% discount on food or non-alcoholic drinks to eat or drink in (up to a maximum of £10 discount per diner)

Ah I stand corrected, thank you! I haven't been to Starbucks today but on Monday our local had a sign stating the new drinks prices but said you had to have purchased food to be eligible. Sounds like communication has been as clear as ever!

Costa are giving the discount on drinks only.

I went to Costa last week and received 50% off my entire order of coffees and cakes.

Not all Starbucks branches are taking part. We went to one linked to a supermarket and they weren't doing the promotion at all.

Hey...I went to starbucks too and the eat out to help out discount was applied. Did you not ask them why they have not applied? Probably, they forgot? As the merchant needs to manually apply the discount.

Happened to me in Spoons, the waitress 'forgot' to apply the discount, pressed a button on the till and hey presto, the bill halved.
