Fraud on Revolut account

Dear All,
Will appreciate any advice on below.
My brother Revolut account has been hacked and 3,500 has been stolen. On Saturday at 3am someone hacked his email and access Revolut account without any problems and did bank transfer to himself. When my brother woke up on Sunday morning and saw e-mails tried to contact Revolut ASAP to stop this however there was no way to report it. Revolut doesn’t have any telephone number to report fraud, we tried on chat but there was no response, we manage to contact them in the afternoon on Facebook!
Today after two weeks of chasing them for any replay he receive message that they will not refund his money as his email was hacked and they are not taking responsibility. My brother is devastated, this were his savings. How we can get money back? Does opening small court case will work in that case?
Thank you for all advices.
Monika

How does hacking his email (which in itself is quite hard unless you install malware) result in his username and password details (and two form factor details if they use that) being found out?

Does opening small court case will work in that case?

What legally have the Revolut done wrong?

Statistically, it is likely that he has suffered the lost and it will be unlikely the money will be recovered.

He can make a complaint to Revolut if he feels they were at fault in some way and see that that brings.

Thanks. No idea how they manage to hacked his e-mail but looking at number of scams I am receiving every day myself it is quite easy to cheat young person. I just can’t understand how only access to e-mail can give you all necessary information to process transfer out from account. What kind of fraud prevention is that? This would not be possible in normal bank. As well transfer at 3am on Saturday to unknow contact should be suspicious and blocked or at least confirmed over the phone with account owner.
We will definitely send a formal complain first and use all possible ways to get money back.
