Blackbox Installation Issue
My girlfriend's car (Peugeot 208 68 Reg) needs a black box fitting as part of her insurance. The instructions indicate that it is easy to do and only two nuts need loosening, blackbox attaching and then re-tighten nuts. As can be seen from the image, connecting the negative terminal is fine and can be attached to the terminal clamp screw.
The positive terminal is different story. This is connected with a quick-release clamp and doesn't have anywhere for the blackbox prong connector to fit to. I have contacted the insurer explaining the situation and they have said I will have to pay £45 to have it fitted - they can F@@K right off!!!!

Anyone with any ideas or suggestion as to what I can buy. I was hoping there was some type of adapter but don't know how to describe what I am looking for.
Thank you.

Just wedge it between the side of the QR clamp and the terminal... If it really doesn't want to fit, two seconds with a stanley knife will take the terminal off and strip a length of the wire bare - which will DEFINITELY fit.
It's a bit of a bodge, but that's what happens when you buy insurance from a company so penny-paring they expect you to fit the black box yourself.1 -
There is no easy quick fix adaptor for this situation, the French have always used funny battery terminals. Your options are toa) find another +ve location to connect it to - the +ve harness does look quite short so the other end won't be far away.b) change the battery connector for one that can accommodate additional cablesc) get someone else to wire it in for youd) bare the wire, stuff it down the inside of the connector and clamp it up1
